I ordered a UK plug, and instead received a kettle with a two prong European plug along with an adaptor for UK use. The store needs to make it clear in the product description that the item being sold has an adaptor, not a plug for UK use. To be safe for use in the UK there must be an earth connection between the kettle and the power socket, and the adaptor does not connect to earth. This product is no good for me, and if I cut the wrong plug off and replace it with a proper UK plug this will make the lead too short to use safely.

Very short cord, had to extend. Smells of burnt plastic in the docking place of the base and vessel. Let’s see if soon it burns, apparently poor plastic or weak contact group.
