How to Use The Leather Craft Strip and Strap Cutter

• To cut strips from a large piece of leather, adjust the guide’s measuring tool to the width of strips you want.

• Hold the material to your left and the cutter to the right. The part with the blade must be at the side of the leather according to the measurement. If you need 1 inch of strips, make sure that the guide is occupying an inch of the leather.

• Using your left hand, hold the top end of the leather firmly then drag the cutting tool towards you with your other hand on the handle of the cutter. Make sure that your device is following the straight edge of the leather to get smooth and straight cuts.

• For working with thin leathers, instead of firmly holding the top edge of the material, hold the strip, adjusting downwards as your other hand is dragging the cutter downward as well. In every cutting projects always make sure that the guide is set properly to the thickness of the leather.
