Magnification is hard to precisely set and the clarity leaves a bit to be desired, but I was able to make out microorganisms in a sample of pond water I took. My microscope has some occlusion in the lens, likely untrimmed flash from the molding process. Things that would have been useful but weren’t provided in the kit would be a pipette and slide covers. Overall for about $10 this is a good product.
